In April 2010, Dharan announced that the soundtrack would include six tracks, mentioning that the film’s star, Silambarasan, had recorded two songs. He also noted that composer and vocalist Yuvan Shankar Raja would contribute one song as well. Ultimately, the album comprised eight tracks, including an instrumental piece. Silambarasan ended up performing three songs, with two of them being his own lyrics; however, there was no song by Yuvan Shankar Raja included.
