Sri Divya Movies List in Telugu and Tamil [2000-2024]
Sri Divya, an Indian actress born on April 1, 1993, has made her mark mainly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Hailing from Hyderabad in the current Telangana state, she shares her creative lineage with her elder sister, Sri Ramya, who is also an actress in these film industries. Her educational background includes attending Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Divya’s journey in the entertainment world began at the tender age of three when she starred as the lead in the children’s movie Bharati (2006). She has also made appearances in various Telugu television series. Her first significant role as a leading lady was in the 2010 Telugu romantic film Manasara, directed by Ravi Babu, although the film did not achieve commercial success.
However, her subsequent project, Bus Stop (2012), helmed by Maruthi and featuring Prince, turned out to be a box office hit. This was succeeded by Mallela Theeram Lo Sirimalle Puvvu, where she portrayed a lonely wife who develops feelings for a writer. Critics praised her performance, with The Hindu commenting on her charm and how the cotton saris enhanced her grace, while Idlebrain.com noted that Sri Divya embodied the traits of an idealistic and independent woman deserving of acclaim.
In 2011, she completed filming her debut Tamil project Nagarpuram, but due to delays, her first release in Tamil cinema became Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam alongside Sivakarthikeyan, directed by Ponram. Her performance garnered favorable reviews, with Baradwaj Rangan acknowledging her skill in delivering reactions and fitting seamlessly into the setting. The Times of India highlighted her expressiveness and impressive lip-syncing abilities, a rarity among many contemporary heroines. The New Indian Express appreciated her portrayal of Latha, emphasizing her ability to infuse the character with innocence, charm, and a touch of mischief.
In 2014, she featured in two Tamil films, Jeeva directed by Suseenthiran and Vellaikaara Durai. Over the years 2015 and 2016, she starred in multiple films. After a brief pause following 2017, she made her comeback in 2022 with Jana Gana Mana, marking her debut in Malayalam cinema.
